Nails! Nails! Nails!

I decided to review a few of the recent nails varnishes I’ve been wearing more often than usual. In the winter months I like wearing deep colours for warm impact or completely contrasting powerful bold bright colours to make me forget about how cold the winter actually is!

#1
Myfacecosmetics | Sp"ice"y

When I received this nail varnish I really did love it, the colour is absolutely beautiful, it is really nice, it’s a metallic purple colour and as soon as I painted it on I was in love with it. However the colour is pretty much the only thing I did like about this nail varnish in the end. The handle of the brush is quite wide, so although you get a good grip it’s a bit awkward to hold the top securely because of the size. Another thing I didn’t really like was that I painted my nails before bed and my nails were basically chipped before even going out the next day and by the end of the day I literally had fully chipped nails with some nails half painted! I hate having chipped nails so this was really annoying for me! Although the colour is really nice I wouldn’t ever willingly purchase this nail varnish again and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who doesn’t want to keep topping up their nail varnish or re-paint their nails every day!

#2
Barry M | Cyan Blue 294

So, this nail varnish is noticeably bright, especially in comparison to most of the nail varnishes I own! I always, always, always must paint my toe nails the same colour as my finger nails so having bright blue toe nails can’t always happen, so when I have my nails this blue it only lasts for a couple of days before I feel like I need a change of colour! As most people know, Barry M is quite obviously a great nail varnish and this one lasts a good few days of wear without chipping! The good thing about this polish is quite obviously the colour, bold and bright! Get your nails noticed!

#3
Avon | Midnight Plum

I also really love the shade of this nail varnish, it’s a deep purple and almost looks black but isn’t as bold as black and in some lights shows more shades of purples than blacks. The Avon nail varnish is easy to apply and stays on for a few days with only a few tiny chips. Because of the dark colour it’s also good to cover chips really easily and unnoticeably. I would definitely buy this nail varnish again and explore other colours of the Avon brand.

Hope this helped for some nail inspirations over the New Year period. Also, I’d love to hear if you have any nail ideas for the winter season or for New Year party nails! Hope you all had a merry christmas and look forward to celebrating the new year!
